Multiple facial fillers are currently available at RENEW in San Diego. Most of our fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, and when injecteted, they correct age related volume losses or augment areas such as the lips. The fillers are incredibly versatile and can be used to treat multiple facial areas, which demonstrate signs of aging.
Hyaluronic acid based fillers are not permanent, but one of their benefits is that they may build up if used continuously and provide a scaffold on which new collagen can grow. Our goal with facial fillers is to create a measurable correction of age related volume deficit without looking overdone or artificial. We consider our job done when other people notice you look more youthful and refreshed, but are left second-guessing as to how this enhancement was accomplished!
Q: IS IT SAFE TO INJECT FACIAL FILLERS ?
A: These fillers show long safety record and are approved by FDA. There are no significant long-term complications associated with use of dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body, and does not cause a foreign body reaction.
The use of specific facial filler depends on the target area, which it is aimed to correct. That in turn depends on a degree of cross-linking, molecular weight and viscosity of the gel.
Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero & Radiesse products have been used for correction of mild to moderate forehead wrinkles, tear troughs, nasolabial lines, nose and chin augmentation, jowl sulci, marionette lines and lip enhancement.
Radiesse & Juvederm Voluma were specifically designed to treat midface volume loss and to restore beautiful contour of youthful cheeks.
Other facial fillers show similar characteristics based on the their intrinsic properties and expected areas of injection.
We do a thorough assessment based on multiple factors including your facial anatomy, degree of aging, and desired look before we decide which filler to use. All of these factors are discussed during your consultation in the clinic, which is always free!

Q: HOW DO FACIAL FILLERS WORK?
A: A small needle is used to deposit facial filler, such as Restylane, Radiesse, Juvederm or Belotero into the region of interest. Your practitioner will decide what layer of the skin the filler will be placed into. Once the filler is deposited into tissues it absorbs surrounding fluid and expands. This expansion of the gel is immediate and results in resolution of the wrinkles and folds above it. Some of the fillers expand faster than others, and this will influence how fast you will see the results after you filler injections.
Q: HOW LONG IS FACIAL FILLER TREATMENT ?
A: This is truly a lunch break procedure. After the clinician does an assessment and determines which area to inject, it takes approximately 20-30 minutes to administer the filler, depending on the area(s) being injected.
The following facial volume deficits can be effectively treated with facial fillers -
* Forehead lines
* Tear troughs (deep creases under eyes)
* Nose augmentation
* Sagging cheeks
* Nasolabial folds (smiley lines)
* Lip augmentation
* Jowl sulcus
* Marionette lines
* Chin augmentation
* Other focal deficits on any part of the body is deemed appropriate by your clinician
Dermal Fillers FAQs:

One of the most important factors when considering filler injections is the expertise of the professional and consistency and the number of reviews left by prior patients. Recommendation from a family member or a friend is priceless and most trustworthy. Most people do not have that luxury and rely on other people sharing their experiences in determining which provider to choose for their beauty needs. This is evidenced by their reflections of our practice in numerous social media platforms including Yelp and Google, which you are welcome to explore!
